One small cut lead to one BIG problem…

       This filly had been originally treated for a small cut that needed stiches at the fetlock. Even with the best of vet care injuries can still drastically shift sideways. Upon her three week check up at the vet clinic, it was observed that she had a large amount of swelling at the knee once they pulled her wrap. Excellent treatment was given to try and battle the small infection that traveled up the leg from the original cut, all traditional treatments were applied and standard weekly debridement treatments were also completed to try and resolve the proud flesh from the outside and joint infection from  within the inside with medications. With a euthanasia plan quickly approaching the owner reached out for a laser rental. The wound quickly began to change in 3 treatments and comfort level was greatly improved. The laser rental, daily protocol help and a supportive veterinarian all made this possible for her to make a full recovery. Months later the owner did purchase her own ACTIVET PRO laser  for use of her multiple barrel horses, rope horses and to use on themselves to feel their best all the time and not just when injuries arise. The 470nm blue mode wavelength in conjunction with the swelling and inflammation settings conquered the proud flesh, killed the the Joint Infection and healed the wound and restored full range of motion with very minimal scar tissue. We have very high hope for this filly to be competing at the NFR and running down the alley just like her mama.
